Freshman Girls At the All Star Game
Aliza Simpson (5’7” G Londonderry) - Simpson definitely doesn't play like a freshman. She is always at the right place at the right time. It is evident she has played a lot of basketball in her years and has a high basketball I.Q. She is a tough defensive player who scores a lot of her baskets off the press and turnovers. The special thing about Simpson is that just her presence on the court makes the players around her step up their game.
Brandi Bonneau (5’5” G Pinkerton) - Bonneau plays with all heart. Although she is small, she is often the one coming away with rebounds and loose balls. She plays the point guard position, nicely distributing the ball but can put the ball in the basket as well.
Aleanna Clermont (5’10” F Pembroke Academy) - Clermont runs the floor as well as anyone. Her ability to get up and down the court so fast, and her quick first step gives her an advantage over the other players on the court.
Caitlin Dell’Orfano (5’8” G Central Catholic) - Dell’Orfano makes things happen on the court. This Central Catholic freshman can penetrate and kick, or take it one on one. She was a key player in the Freshman Game on Sunday.
McKenzie Brown (6’1” F Bedford) - Brown is tough off the boards. She has height and great instincts for the basketball as she always knows where the ball is going to come off rim. McKenzie made her presence known, scoring 14 in the Freshman game. She has a sweet touch around the basket.
Sam Gauthier (5’7” G Manchester Central) - Gauthier is a tremendous athlete. She is not just a basketball player but one of the top cross-country runners in the state. She works hard, and loves the game. Can hit the long range jump shot.
Nicole Femino (5’10” G Masconomet) Femino has grown two inches the past couple months. This gives her an advantage over her defenders, as she can play on the wing and bring the ball up. She takes the ball hard to the basket.
Raeghan Muhlerin (5’6” G Narragansett) - Raeghan played well defensively, she wasn’t afraid to get physical. She sees the court very well.
Rachel Collins (5’7” G Bedford) - Collins is a smart player who you can count on to hit the easy bucket. She had a sweet spot on Sunday, putting in a few baseline jumpers. She is also a strong defensive player who gets right up on her opponent.
Phoebe Collins (5’7” G Portsmouth) No relation to Rachel, but one thing they both have in common is that they are both reliable guards. Always in the right spot at the right time, Phoebe is a very smart player. Has a sweet mid-range pull up.
Colleen Fortier (5’6” G Pinkerton Academy) - Colleen can play both the guard and forward. She bangs under the boards, and can score under the basket. She can consistently hit the long range jumper.
Taylor Marston (5’7” G Bishop Brady) - Marston is one of the quicker players around. She can bring the ball up the court and hit the three. Defensively she can cause problems for her opponents.
Sandi Purcell (5’5” G Alvirne) - Purcell give you 100% defensively. She plays in your face, tormenting defense. Offensively she can be deadly from long range, as well as having good ball control.
Ashley Hugh (5’9” F Pinkerton Academy) - Hugh is as tough as nails. She runs into walls, dives head first on the court, anything to come up with the basketball. She finishes well around the basket.
Ali Glennon (5’10 F Bedford High School) - Might have the most potential out of the freshman group. She runs the floor well and finishes around the basket. Things happen when she is on the court.
Jamie Sherburne (5’6” G Bishop Guertin)-Loves to drive off the wing position. Sherburne is not afraid to bang bodies and play physical.
Taylor Cuomo (5’6” G Pinkerton Academy) - Cuomo is a very skilled player, who always seems to get her hand on the ball. She is a very quick player who causes problems for her opponents.
Clairee Putnam (5’6” G Windham) Strong guard, with good ball control. She is ice from the free throw line, shooting 100% in the game on Sunday. Putnam also has a great outside shot.

Sophomore Boy's at the All-Star Game
Jared Terrell (6'2", G, Weymouth) - Terrell has a great basketball body and great athleticism. Terrell was most exciting to watch in transition as he had a ESPN like dunk on the break. Terrell showed us again that he can create space off the dribble and has a nice looking pull-up.
Dimitri Floras (6'1', G, Merrimack, NH) - Floras is a combo guard that is exceptional in the open court. Of all the high school kids we have witnessed, Floras' pull-up jumper is the best. During the All Star game, he showed us that he can make these pull-ups in transition from beyond the three point line.
Aaron Calixte (5'10", PG, Stoughton) - Calixte is a strong and powerful guard that has long arms and knows how to use his body to hit and separate. Calixte can also knock down the three and knows how to find his way into the heart of the defense creating plays for both himself and his teammates.
Derek Collins (6'2", G, North Andover) - Collins has long proven that he is one of the most dangerous players in New England when he has the ball in his hands behind the arc. He showed us early in this All Star game that he has extended range. Collins, who sometimes forget he is a good finisher around the basket, found his way to the rim successfully a few times in the second half.
Corneilus Tyson (6'1", G, Springfield Central) - Tyson has good size for a point guard and gets himself to good positions on the floor so he can make the correct basketball play. He is real problem when he gets himself into the lane. Although not the prettiest looking three, Tyson made four of them in this game.
Mabor Gabriel (6'7", F, Trinity, NH) - Gabriel showed us again that he has nice touch from the perimeter and can make hots around the basket as well.
Collin Richie (6'0", PG., Whitinsville Christian) - Richie has earned a reputation as a great floor general who understands how to play the game of basketball. Richie showed us that although he chooses to make others better, he can surely score the basketball as well.
Jonathan Perez (5'11", G, Lowell) - Perez has a strong and compact body that he used to slice to the basket on several occasions. Perez is also a much improved shooter who can knock down the three.
Dominic Paradis (6'4", F, Spaulding) - Paradis is a much improved player who does some of everything. His greatest strength is the fact that he has a nose for the ball and seems to always be in the right place. For Paradis, that ability allowed him to rack up points in this game.
Andrew Ruffen (6'2", G, Salem) - Ruffen has a high basketball I.Q. and clearly knows how to play basketball. Add that to the fact that Ruffen has a sweet looking release from deep, and he is definitely a prospect worth following.
Tank Robertson (5'9", PG, Pittsfield) - Robertson has a compact, physical, and athletic body. He understands how to play the game and thus is an excellent distributor of the basketball. Robertson also has extended range and a midrange game to go with it.
Travis DeCouteaux (5'11", G, Trinity, NH) - DeCouteaux is a much improved player who is most effective when he gets himself in the lane for either a pull-up or dish.
Joel Mayola (6'3", Manchester Central, NH) - Mayola is long and athletic and showed us that he has a very quick first step. Mayola used this step to blow past his opponent several times during the game.
Isiah Nelson (6'4", F, North Andover) - Nelson has a big and strong body but yet showed us that he has some perimeter skills. Nelson can shoot the ball all the way out to the three point line and he has a decent pull-up to go with it.
Sean McNally (6'4", SF, Hanover) - McNally, who has excellent size, good athleticism, and a nice touch to go with it.
Fahmi Farah (5'10", G, Amherst) - Farah is an athletic point guard that is efficient with the basketball.
Freshman Boy's at the All-Star Game
Nick Cambio (6'5", F, Central Catholic) Cambio has a great basketball body as he is a strong forward who has a productive inside-out game. His development is just in its infancy, but we believe he has a chance to be special. In this one, he dominated the glass. Offensively he showed the ability to score in a variety of ways. He also demonstrated an ever improving game on the wing. He knocked down 4 three pointers and was able to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. Cambio also has a good basketball instinct and was able to distribute the basketball.
Aaron Falzon (6'6", Newton North) – Falzon is a smooth big guy who is has a pretty stroke from behind the arc and some nifty moves from perimeter. He understands the game and how to ball fake to create space. In this game, Falzon showed us a variety of his offensive arsenal including the three, the mid-range jumper, as well as a nice looking half-hook. Falzon also continues to impress us as he can lead the fast break after he rebounds and he is an exceptional passer of the ball in transition.
Pat Benzan (5'10, G, Roxbury Latin) - The talented guard showed us a great handle as he used it to cut and slash through the lane all night to create opportunities for his teammates and himself. Benzan was able to control the game as he has total command of the basketball when he puts it to the floor.Benzan also showed that he is able to step away from the basket and knock down the three.
Jalen Adams (5'10, G, Melrose) – A super smooth guard who played with a lot of maturity. Adams has great control of the basketball and gets wherever he wants with his dribble. Although a rather slow and not so pretty looking release, Adams is able to make the three ball. With work on the jumper, Adams could be a special backcourt player.
Brendan Miller (6'2, G, North Andover H.S.) - We love the fact that Miller has great athleticism and great bounce to his game. Miller used that athleticism in the game to help him get to the basket. The beauty is tat he can finish around the rim in a variety of different ways. Once the shot becomes more consistent, Miller is going to have his way at the offensive end of the floor.
Drew Belcher (6'4, Reading) - Belcher has a athletic body and plays the game aggressively. He scored the ball well in transition getting to the glass on several occasions. Having been a power forward in earlier years, Belcher is showing an improved handle and jumper as he was both successful at making the three and putting the ball to the floor.
Shane Farley (6'1, G, Burlington) – Farley is an athletic guard that showed he can make plays and score the basketball. We like the fact that Farley has a scoring mentality and looks to create opportunities for himself to score. He had a variety of good scoring moves in this one, especially off the dribble.
Colin McManus (6'8, F, Bedford, NH) - The forward is a work in progress but we like the fact that he runs the floor well and has big frame that will fill in. McManus also has a good understanding of the game and thus the distributes the ball well. Although he is in the early stages of development, McManus has a chance to be a talented forward/center.
Richard Santos (5'9", PG, Whitinsville Christian) – Santos has an excellent basketball I.Q. and thus is an exceptional floor general. Santos has control of the basketball, get where he wants, and knows how to distribute the basketball.
Trevon Betts (5'7", PG, Weymouth) - Lightening quick point guard whose exceptional handle allows him to attack the rim and look to score. He has soft touch around the basket and sees the floor very well. Although not a knock down shooter, Betts can make both the pull-up and long range three.
Eric Gendron (6'2", G, Merrimack, NH) - Gendron has a great basketball body and is exceptional in attacking the rim in transition. He is a versatile player who can score in a number of ways from both the perimeter and in the lane. And that is exactly what Gendron did in this game.Christian Morneweck (6'4", F, Burlington) –Morneweck is athletic small forward that can fill lanes and finish around the rim. He also has a good midrange game and can knock down the 12 footer. He also uses his athleticism and determination to be an effective rebounder.
Liam Bruno (6'0", G, Newton North) - Bruno is a competitive basketball player who has a great instinct for the ball and knows how to get himself in the right positions to score the basketball. He did just that in this game, as he scored in a variety of different ways.
Matt Costello (6'1, G, Bishop Fenwick) - Costello is a sharp shooter that can knock down threes in bunches. The shooting guard has shown improvement in his ball handling and dribbling which has allowed him to improve his midrange game.
Andrew Lechner (6'1", G, Pinkerton Academy) - Lechner is an athletic guard that just looks like he belongs on a basketball court. He is athletic, can run and jump, and has a college looking pull-up. He is an exceptional three point shooter as well. If Lechner learns how to use his body effectively and learns to encourage contact, he could be exceptional prospect.
Christian LaRoche (5'9", G, St. Bernard's) - LaRoche is a talented guard with a high basketball I.Q. He makes those around him better. LaRoche showed us that he can get his shot off, and when he does, he can make them as well.
Jordan Lates (5'4", G, Hollis-Brookline, NH) - Lates is an intelligent point guard that understands how to run a basketball team. Although a great floor general, Lates knows how to score the basketball when needed. He can knock down the jump shot and has range from beyond the arc.
