Noah Vonleh Leads Sophomore All Stars
Noah Vonleh (6'7", F, Haverhill) - Vonleh continues to improve by leaps and bounds. It was quite inevitable during the All-Star game that Vonleh has put some time into shooting the basketball as the ball keeps coming off his hand with great rotation. It's only a matter of time before Vonleh is a knock down shooter. Vonleh did several things during this game that only the Elite of the Elite are able to do.
Jared Terrell (6'2", G, Weymouth) - Terrell has a great basketball body and great athleticism. Terrell was most exciting to watch in transition as he had a ESPN like dunk on the break. Terrell showed us again that he can create space off the dribble and has a nice looking pull-up.
Dimitri Floras (6'1', G, Merrimack, NH) - Floras is a combo guard that is exceptional in the open court. Of all the high school kids we have witnessed, Floras' pull-up jumper is the best. During the All Star game, he showed us that he can make these pull-ups in transition from beyond the three point line.
Aaron Calixte (5'10", PG, Stoughton) - Calixte is a strong and powerful guard that has long arms and knows how to use his body to hit and separate. Calixte can also knock down the three and knows how to find his way into the heart of the defense creating plays for both himself and his teammates.
Derek Collins (6'2", G, North Andover) - Collins has long proven that he is one of the most dangerous players in New England when he has the ball in his hands behind the arc. He showed us early in this All Star game that he has extended range. Collins, who sometimes forget he is a good finisher around the basket, found his way to the rim successfully a few times in the second half.
Corneilus Tyson (6'1", G, Springfield Central) - Tyson has good size for a point guard and gets himself to good positions on the floor so he can make the correct basketball play. He is real problem when he gets himself into the lane. Although not the prettiest looking three, Tyson made four of them in this game.
Mabor Gabriel (6'7", F, Trinity, NH) - Gabriel showed us again that he has nice touch from the perimeter and can make hots around the basket as well.
Collin Richie (6'0", PG., Whitinsville Christian) - Richie has earned a reputation as a great floor general who understands how to play the game of basketball. Richie showed us that although he chooses to make others better, he can surely score the basketball as well.
Jonathan Perez (5'11", G, Lowell) - Perez has a strong and compact body that he used to slice to the basket on several occasions. Perez is also a much improved shooter who can knock down the three.
Dominic Paradis (6'4", F, Spaulding) - Paradis is a much improved player who does some of everything. His greatest strength is the fact that he has a nose for the ball and seems to always be in the right place. For Paradis, that ability allowed him to rack up points in this game.
Andrew Ruffen (6'2", G, Salem) - Ruffen has a high basketball I.Q. and clearly knows how to play basketball. Add that to the fact that Ruffen has a sweet looking release from deep, and he is definitely a prospect worth following.
Tank Robertson (5'9", PG, Pittsfield) - Robertson has a compact, physical, and athletic body. He understands how to play the game and thus is an excellent distributor of the basketball. Robertson also has extended range and a midrange game to go with it.
Travis DeCouteaux (5'11", G, Trinity, NH) - DeCouteaux is a much improved player who is most effective when he gets himself in the lane for either a pull-up or dish.
Joel Mayola (6'3", Manchester Central, NH) - Mayola is long and athletic and showed us that he has a very quick first step. Mayola used this step to blow past his opponent several times during the game.
Isiah Nelson (6'4", F, North Andover) - Nelson has a big and strong body but yet showed us that he has some perimeter skills. Nelson can shoot the ball all the way out to the three point line and he has a decent pull-up to go with it.
Sean McNally (6'4", SF, Hanover) - McNally, who has excellent size, good athleticism, and a nice touch to go with it.
Fahmi Farah (5'10", G, Amherst) - Farah is an athletic point guard that is efficient with the basketball.
