Acton Boxboro's Sam Longwell Putting Up Numbers

Sam Longwell Playing Superior Basketball

Senior guard Sam Longwell (our #21 ranked senior) continued with his hot hand last night as he scored 30 points while hitting five three pointers to lead the Acton-Boxboro (#14 ranked) boys basketball team to an 80-70 victory over Lawrence (#6 ranked) during non-league action yesterday at Lawrence High School. On Friday night, Longwell also scored a career-high 33 points, including a jump shot that broke a 43-43 tie early in the fourth quarter and gave Acton-Boxboro a 60 -50 win over Wayland. Longwell
knocked down six 3-pointers on that evening.

The Mass & NH High School Basketball Report has seen Longwell play on several occasions. Longwell is a sound basketball player that does all the little things right. He is a seasoned basketball player that has an excellent understanding of the game. Longwell knows when to attack the rim, and knows when and how to make shots. Longwell has improved from behind the arc and he continues to show that he makes those around him better.

Longwell's play has the propelled the Colonials to 7-1 and makes them a major player in the division 1 north tournament come February. We expect that the talented guard will move up in the rankings when new ones are released later this month.
