Tuesday's Mass High School Basketball Results

Waschussett Senior Jacqui Brugliera Is Heading To Bentley

Girls:

Waschusett 73 - Milford 38 - Senior Jacqui Brugliera, who has committed to Bentley College, scored 30 points as the Mountaineers moved to 6 - 0 on the season.

Central Catholic 55 - Chelmsford 15 - Senior Katie Zenevitch who is Boston College bound scored 13 points in limited minutes as Central Catholic scored an easy victory over Chelmsford.

St. Clements 55 - Marian 49 - Khristy Novembre's scored 41 of St. Clements 55 to pull out a win in the Cathlic Central League.

Westboro 63 - Marlboro 53 - Senior guard Emily Reilly's 36 points (inlcuding a 15 for 15 performance at the free throw line) were not enough for the Panthers as Westboro (4 -2) and senior forward Leah Murpy's 24 points were too much in the Mid-Wach B contest.

Main South 50 - Worcester North 40 - Freshman guard Aretha Sullivan had 19 points, 6 assists, and 5 steals for the Cougars in the victory.

Ashland 45 - Millis 37 - Ashland sophomore Blake Underhill scored 13 points to lead the Clockers (6 - 0) to victory in the Tri-Valley League. Millis' Molly Breen had 29 points of her own in the losing effort.

Pentucket 67 - Manchester 36 - Ashley Viselli (18 points) recored her 1,000 the point of her career for Pentucket in a Cape Ann League matchup.

Scituate 51 - Silver Lake 48 - In the Patriot League, Scituate (5 - 1) handed Silver Lake (6 - 1) its first loss behind 19 points, 6 assists, and 8 steals by Kelly Martin.

Westford Academy 59 - Arlington 30 - Asis Ewing had 19 points and 10 rebounds in the Dual County League matchup.


Boy's Basketball

West Springfield 62 - Holyoke 61 - Musa Elsir's buzzer beater gave West Sprinfield a dramatic victory over host Holyoke. Elsir finished the evening with 29 points for the Terriers (5 - 2).

Easthampton 60 - Frontier 40 - Brendan Rios scored a game-high 30 points to lead Easthampton to victory.

Belchertown 61 - Southwick 29 - Pat Gooden scored 20 and Nate Conner 18 in the blow-out.

Newton South 69 - Weston 61 - Despite 29 points from senior Alex Levine, Weston dropped the Dual County contest.

Manchester Essex 66 - Pentucket 42 - Junior Joe Mussachia had 19 points and 14 rebounds and teammate Brian Cicccone had 18 points and 11 rebounds in the victory.

Newton North 70 - Weymouth 54 - Courtney Wornum-Parker scored 17 points and gathered 15 rebounds as New North is off to a 7 - 0 start.

South Boston 57 - Latin Academy 50 - Yerald Pena scored 20 points and tallied 5 assists for South Boston (3 - 3).

Westford 82 - Arlington 69 - Mike Ganley and Mark Cornelius had 19 points each as Westford rolled to a win in the Dual County League.

Medway 67 - Hopkinton 49 - Junior forward Matt Ford had 27 points, 13 rebounds, and 8 blocks as Medway easily handled Hopkinton in the Tri-Valley contest.

Franklin 70 - Soughton 60 - Senior guard Matt Dean scored 14 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter to lead Franklin to a win over Stoughton in the Hockomock League. Senior guard Matt Palanzi also added 18 points for Franklin.
