Andover's Natalie Gomez-Martinez (left) and Nicole Boudreau (right) are one of the best guard combinations any Massachusetts High School Basketball team has ever seen.
In Monday night's game against Billerica High School, Marist bound Natalie Gomez-Martinez registerd a double-double with 27 points and 10 assists in the game. Wow, that's something. Not to be outdone, junior and Boston College bound teammate Nicole Boudreau nailed nine 3-pointers on her way to 34 points. She also carded a double-double with 10 steals in Andover's 86-61 win.
Gomez-Martinez is a ultra quick point guard who thrives in the open court. Gomez loves to play the game at a high pace and has the ability to score in bunches. Gomez has a great handle which allows her to go anywhere on the court. What impresses us the most about Gomez is her middle game. She uses a variety of dribble moves to get into the lane for easy pull ups. Gomez will likely be an immediate impact player at Marist University as she can create space off the dribble with the best of them.
Boudreau is a combo guard is capable of putting up huge numbers in a hurry. She is a deadly shooter from the outside but she can also attack the hoop and finish at the rim. Boudreau is also an exceptional passer. She seems to thrive when the game is on the line and likes to have the ball in pressure situations. Boudreau, who is a top 100 prospect in the country, has a year to go before she takes the floor for Boston College. One thing we know is that she'll be ready.
For now, Andover High School is lucky to have been dealt a pair of Aces.
