A Star is Born In Central Catholic's Casey McLaughlin

Casey McLaughlin Has Hit Her Stride

Central Catholic 6'0" Sophomore Casey McLaughlin has been sensational this winter leading the Raiders to a 15 - 2 record and tied for first place with Andover in the Merrimack Valley Conference. Sunday afternoon, McLaughlin proved how good she is as she netted a team-high 23 points and added 16 rebounds to lead the Raiders to a 61-57 victory over Andover High School. McLaughlin was unstoppable as she attacked the glass on both ends of the floor creating all kinds of trouble for the Andover defense. The result would be that the Warrior's forwards would spend much of the afternoon in foul trouble, eventually winding up on the bench watching. Inevitably, it would be McLaughlin's play at both ends of the floor that would make the difference in this one.

She is an extremely athletic forward who loves to attack the basket, enjoys making contact, and has proven she can finish around the basket. She has one of the quickest first steps of any player in the state. McLaughlin is a relentless competitor who just knows how to makes plays. She has a high motor, she is an excellent rebounder.

She has taken her place on the stage as one of the elite of the elite basketball player's in Massachusetts. Furthermore, she is one of the top prospects in New England high school basketball. A Star has been born, and her name is Casey McLaughlin.
