MA Boy's Class of 2014 Ranking

Aaron Falzon Number 1 Freshman in Massachusetts

Below is the rankings for the Massachusetts Class of 2014. We know it's early, but Spring and Fall provide some initial insight. We know that there a couple of real talented big men and West Roxbury has a very talented freshman class. If you have some new talent we should check out, please feel free to email us with the information and will be sure to check them out. Here we go.

1. Aaron Falzon (6'6", Newton North H.S.) - Falzon has a nice touch and a real feel for the game. Falzon has an exceptional skill set as he can shoot, dribble, and pass the basketball. Falzon also looks impressive starting the transition. The future looks bright.

2. Jeremy Miller (6'9", Milton H.S.) - Miller is a long and athletic forward who has star written all over him. Surely still a work in progress, Miller has the chance to be the real deal.

3. Drew Shea (6'6", Medfield H.S.) - Shea is physical forward who plays the game with a purpose. We love his toughness as he competes hard. He has good touch, a good midrange game, and is very effective around the basket.


4. Darien Smith (6'1", West Roxbury H.S.) - Smith is a talented and versatile player. He has a nice stroke from the perimeter, but is also very effective at going inside and banging with the big guys. Smith is also an effective rebounder, can lead transition, and can pass the basketball.

5. Jonathan Joseph (5'9", Stoughton H.S.) - Joseph is a talented and seasoned point guard that can handle the basketball. Joseph's has a beautiful crossover.

6. Mike Rodriguez (5'8", West Roxbury H.S.) - Rodriguez is a true point guard who looks to distribute the basketball and make his teammates better.

7. Jalen Adams (6'0", Melrose H.S.) - Adams is an exceptional athlete that shows he can get to the basket at will. Adams will be special if he can develop the jump shot.

8. Drew Belcher (6'3", Reading H.S.) - Belcher is an impressive looking athlete that has a nose for the basketball and is a physical presence on the floor. Belcher finds ways to get it done.

9. Patrick Benzan (5'10", Roxbury Latin) – A talented floor general with a feel for the game beyond his years. Benzan is super clever and very crafty as he uses his body well, is an excellent distributor, an can score the basketbal when he needs to.

Markus Neale (6'1", West Roxbury H.S.) - Neale has as strong body and is a talented guard that can both shoot the basketball and get into the lane.

11. Brian Mukasa (5'9", Sharon H.S.) - The talented point guard showed great speed and athleticism and is excellent in transition as he knows how to advance the basketball and makes the appropriate dish each and every time.

12. Freddie Oliveira (6'3", West Roxbury H.S.) - Oliveira is a talented southpaw that has length and athleticism. Oliveira is very active and moves well without the basketball.

13. Kevin Connor (6'3", Mansfield H.S.) - Connor is long, athletic and active around the basket.

14. Ryan Murphy (6'2', Winchester H.S.) - Murphy has a good skill set and his best days are ahead.

15. Frank Monteiro (6'3', Canton H.S.) - Monteiro is effective both on the glass as well as scoring around the basket.

16. Liam Bruno (6'0", Newton North) - Bruno is a tough and hard nose guard that gets after it on both ends of the floor. Bruno understands the game and knows how to put himself in positions to score.

17. Richard Santos (5'9", Whitinsville Christian) - Santos is able to get into the middle with ease and can finish around the basket with both hands.

18. TreVon Betts ( 5'6", Weymouth) – Betts is very good with the ball and a capable shot maker from the perimeter.
